Is anyone running the S&B Particle separator. How do you like it. I'm considering the one that goes installed on the driver wheel well? Just wondering what your experience has been.
Particle Separator (Wheel Well Mounted) for the 2022-2024 Polaris RZR PRO R 2.0L
The S&B Particle Separator for the Polaris Pro R removes 94% of dust before it reaches your stock filter. Stock air filter will last 15X longer.

I love mine. Some people complained about the wheel well mounted unit letting a lot of dust in. My original one did as well but got the new updated version (free replacement from s@b) and it works amazingly well..

I run one on the cage on my 21 XPT, love it. Days like this you could eat off the air filter after a ride.

I have the wheel well one for the pro r and it has Been working perfectly. I don’t think it is as good as the original cage mounted but my air box is spotless.

Sounds interesting if you ride in the dust most of the time, but I only get really dusty conditions part of the year, and at $500 I can buy 12 Polaris filters which is probably 10 years worth of filters. I am not likely to keep the same car for 10 years.
Sounds good if you are racing in the desert however.

Perhaps but if you ride in dusty conditions like here in AZ you will notice that the some of the dust still gets past the filter regardless if it is a brand new filter or not.
New engine is at least $4000 versus $500 Particle Separator. As they would say in an old commercial "Pay me now or pay me later"

Most of my riding is done in SoCal. Mainly Glamis and Ocotillo. I also have the fender mount S&B on Pro R4.
For dusty conditions like Ocotillo, the S&B does a great job keeping the powdery sand out of the filter. For example, before the S&B, I could knock a decent amount of dust and sand out of the oem filter after just 1-2 days in Ocotillo. Plus the Frogskin would get caked. With S&B, I could barely knock anything out of it after 3 days in Ocotillo.
Glamis sand is different. I do not feel like the S&B is needed as much in Glamis.
I've had the S&B for near a year and have put maybe 600 miles on it. Don't regret buying it at all.

Thanks everyone. I will be ordering the below the fender S&B. Sounds like it's worth the money especially with the redesign.

Agree you don't see as many S&Bs in Glamis on dedicated duners. Just back from Ocotillo Wells for New Years and it was still dusty despite the prior rains and some puddles.

The S&B filter was my first addition on my Turbo S. I ran that original filter over a year and only replaced the like new filter for the larger S&B filter. It's also nice not having to unload and remove my storage box just to check the filter. I only peek at it when I do oil changes.

I run the larger separator and hang it directly under my ceiling behind my rear passenger's heads. This an absolute MUST have if there is any dust where you ride. There are some roads where I ride that is absolute baby power silt... my black pro R is 100% completely covered in brown silt (worse that the screenshot of the brown covered car above)... I can pull my filter cover and my air filter looks brand new. Before my seperator, I could only do 1 ride before having to do filter maintenance. Now, probably never.
Avoid the one that sits in the rear quarter panel.. they don't work NEARLY as well.185EZ

If you mount your intake inside the cab under the roof you already eliminated 95% of the dust
Nothing magical about it
Reason they don't work in the fender well is because they don't work very well

5% dust in the cab?? That would make the cab so much easier to clean!!

I have an s&b on my 23 since brand new. It works, I don't care about the noise, I can't hear it over my rpm sport exahust anyway.
Worth 400 all day.

Since running my SB, my perfectly clean filter hasn't changed... AT ALL... in 500 miles. They work shockingly well.

Interesting comments! I ran the s&b on my turbo s for over 2500 miles and didn’t think it was worth the money spent when comparing filters with other riders in my group. I considered buying one for the pro r but decided to pass. Nowadays I just get the leaf blower and slip the filter over it and blast away, I do the clutch at the same time 👍.

I guess it depends where you ride. I installed the S&B under the fender and loving it. It's been the difference between a clean filter after a ride and one completely covered in dust.
